For a Texas native, Jarom sure was born for the snow! We went up to a local park with his friend and her mom to sled/tube. This is the first year Jarom was really excited about it - we were the only ones out on those hills for nearly 3 hours!
That's Jarom and his friend climbing up to the very very top...
I took Macie down with me a bunch of times. She would squeal and really seemed to enjoy it. (Can't say that about getting her all bundled up (I can't put my arms down! wahhhh!), but once she got out there she liked it)
The snow for our family has been a welcomed treat as we spend our time building snowmen and forts, eating it (ever on the lookout for a yellow-tinge), throwing it, treking through it to school and back, knocking down icicles, eating icicles, playing with friends, skiing, listening to how quiet it gets at night now with new snowfall....and then coming in for hot chocolate!
Chris and Jarom built this snowman, named "Eat" by Jarom, last night in the field across the street from us. Jarom told me today that when Chris finished rolling the bottom part, he was worried that, "if Dad picked up that snowball and threw that at me, I could die!" He's a funny kid - always keeps me thinking about things in new ways.
